hyper armor makes light weapons trivial. if you do good damage and can take a hit, light weapons are like paper, im including estocs, strait swords, dark sword, whips and everything else people complain about. hyper armor is your friend. the only thing op is your fear of these kiddy toys.. If you want an OP elemental rapier, use the uninfused Chaos Rapier with Charcoal Pine Resin. Rapiers are best off as uninfused weapons. The base damage+scaling+140/120 counter rating+leo ring (12,5% counter boost) is very powerful. Too much damage is lost to split defenses when you infuse a rapier with an elemental.From what I understand, kicking is supposed to be used on people that are blocking to stagger or stun them. Please correct me if I'm wrong! So, when I try to do a kick attack with my Estoc wielding assassin, (I always used estoc in souls 2 for that sweet long range sweep in pvp) he does a thrust and quickly jumps back.IMO, the Estoc is more of a quality weapon. Are you planning on going full Dex? DEX/FTH or DEX/INT? If so, I suggest sticking with the Rapier until you get to the Cleansing Chapel bonfire, and LITERALLY (as in not killing anything) running from the Snowfield bonfire to the Corvian Settlement to pick up the Crow Quills..
